Memorial Stadium on Springfield's north side is the home of Cyclone Football. Its approximate seating capacity is 7,000, with a standing room only capacity of over 9,000. The home and visitor stands each seat an equal amount of people (~3,500). Memorial Stadium is located along North Grand Ave. just east of 11th Street. Directions to the stadium can be found here.
The Cyclones have a 26-game winning streak at the friendly confines of Memorial Stadium as of the end of the 2006 season. Their last home loss was to the Belleville Althoff Crusaders in a 2002 quarterfinal playoff game. Through 2006, SHG has won 47 of their last 48 home games dating back to 1999.

Public address announcer Adam "The Hawk" Hawkins brings energy and enthusiasm to every Cyclone football game. He took over the microphone duties at the start of the 2006 season, replacing long-time announcer Paul Pachlhofer. Hawkins, who is a native of nearby Illiopolis, has been a disc jockey at Springfield's 104.5 WFMB radio station since 1996.

Fans across the country can listen to every Cyclone Football game over the airwaves of SportsRadio 1450 WFMB AM. The Cyclone Gameday crew features longtime announcer and Griffin graduate Sam Madonia, Tim Schweitzer, and Chris McCloud.
The Cyclone pregame show begins one hour prior to kickoff for every SHG game. The pregame is highlighted by "The Ken Leonard Show", which features interviews with the Cyclone head coach and several players each week. |
